Before I continue with our next installment of As The Toilet Flushes: Potty Training the Metalia Way, I thought we’d shake things up a bit with a contest!
As readers of my personal blog know, I’m pretty much one of the worst dancers ever. Fortunately, it seems that my son has inherited my (infinitely more coordinated) husband’s sense of rhythm. This was confirmed after we discovered the Potty Dance on the Pull-Ups website. After watching it approximately seventeen times, I noticed him softly singing the lyrics and shimmying around, all baby Macarena-style. Which was, as you might imagine, awesome. (As small children dancing tends to be.)
And so, I (thanks to the generosity of Pull-Ups) will be running a contest here between today and next Saturday at 12 pm E.S.T. My next post will include a video of T (and maybe me. MAYBE, I SAID!) performing the Potty Dance. In order to enter the contest, simply upload a video of your kid doing the Potty Dance to the Pull-Ups Facebook Page, and link to the video in the comments section here. See? Easy peasy!
I will choose ten winners at random from all of the entries. I’m fairly certain my comically large hat (used for selecting various contest winners) will be involved, and—oh, right! The PRIZES. The winners will each receive a package of Pull-Ups and a “Big Kid Central Potty Training Success" DVD. Awesome, yes?

I'm basically in potty-training denial. Perhaps this will be the inspiration that reminds me that toilets aren't just for grown-ups.
